CdG PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

Comme des Garcons play has teamed up with Converse this season and have re-worked the classic Chuck Taylor All Star. The canvas sneaker comes in black and cream white in both Hi and Low top versions. Comme des Garcons PLAY

New to our roster this season is the Comme des Garcons PLAY collection. Founded by Rei Kawakubo in the Aoyama district of Tokyo in 1969, Comme des Garcons and its many sub labels has been revered by many as one of the most influential labels of our times. The PLAY collection embodies a playful and young at heart spirit and predominately features the now infamous bug-eyed heart logo done in collaboration with Polish-born, New York based graphic artist Filip Pagowski. In our first offering we received a variety of pieces from cardigans, sweaters, polos and the tshirts adorned with Pagowski's logo. Available now at our Edmonton shop and via our onlineshop.

Stussy Deluxe Spring 2010: Delivery 1

The first drop of this season's Stussy Deluxe collection has hit the shop and it is by far their best and most refined collection to date. Firstly, the production for all of the shirts has been moved to Japan and now utilize the highest quality Japanese fabrics and manufacturing. Clean and subtle detailing paired with top notch production make the shirts the highlight of this delivery. Secondly there are some amazing Spring jackets available including the Woodland rainjacket that is seam sealed and waterproof. There is also the Riverside jacket that is made of 100% perforated cotton for breathability. And lastly we received a pair of 5 pocket cotton canvas chinos to round out the drop. Maiden Noir 'Return to Tanner Ridge' Spring Collection

Maiden Noir delivers us our first delivery of their latest collection entitled 'Return to Tanner Ridge'. As always their construction is top notch. The delivery is highlighted by some great layering classic shirts with the Chambray Tanner Shooting Shirt and the Twill constructed Scout Field Shirts. We also see the return of the Nisqually Valley 60/40 Parka in a new beige and black colorway and the introduction of a the highly detailed Wolf Pack Hunting Jacket that features several interior and exterior pockets making for a versatile piece. Both Jackets would be great staples in any wardrobe for years to come. New this season to their denim program they introduced a beautiful Charcoal Japanese Selvedge denim which is available in both their perfect Slim Fit and Standard Fit. This Spring heritage tennis label Fred Perry has teamed up with streetwear forerunners Stussy Deluxe to produce a clean capsule of products entitled the 'Blank Canvas' collection. Classic menswear elements are fused with bold american streetwear. Consisting of a Check polo, a branded polo, and a tshirt, with a total of six pieces available. OriginalFake x Wonderwall 10th Anniversary Vinyl Figure

For their 10th anniversary, famed Japanese architectural firm Wonderwall has teamed up with KAWS to create this special vinyl figure. Wonderwall is responsible for the design of the OriginalFake store in Aoyoma, Tokyo as well as many other shops including Bape Busy Workshops and Collette. Medicom x Karimoku x More Trees Wooden Be@rbrick 400%

Another elegant Be@rbrick design from Medicom and Karimoku Furniture of Japan is releasing today. This time in collaboration with the More Trees eco-initiative. A very rare collector's item, this Be@rbrick is made up of different types of smooth grain wood for each body part. Each limb is laser engraved with the name of the wood in Japanese and English. 5% of all sales are donated to forest re-planting efforts. Produced in very limited quantities and available now at our Edmonton location and online.

Adidas Originals by Originals Spring 2010

Continuing to improve upon previous seasons' releases, the Adidas ObyO program is back this spring and better than ever. The program allows their designers full creative control to produce new designs and silhouettes in order to create some of the best premium sneakers around. Stone Island Shadow

We are excited to introduce our first delivery of Stone Island Shadow products. The joint venture between Sportswear Co. creative director Carlo Rivetti and the ACRONYM® design duo of Errolson Hugh and Michaela Sachenbacher have teamed up to create an incredible fusion of highly technical and wearable apparel. We will be receiving a variety of different Jackets, Shirts, Tshirts, Pants and Shorts but to start things off we received a couple B/D shirts including the Popeline L/S Shirt in Black and the Popeline S/S Shirt in Indaco. The shirts feature invisible zippered pockets, mesh detailing and articulated cuts to give the garments an amazingly detailed fit and finish. To go along with the Shadow products we also received a some great looking footwear from Stone Island. The shoes come in both a High Top or Low Top version that feature a buttery soft perforated leather upper and easy wearability through the use of Velcro closure on the Highs and side entry RiRi Zippers for the Lows. 'The Great North' Project Winter 2010 Capsule

We are very excited to announce our latest collaboration with our friends at Maiden Noir. This is our second collaboration with the brand and it establishes 'The Great North' as an ongoing yearly capsule project between us. This year the theme centers around the Winter Games which are being held in our home country of Canada. More specifically the beautiful city of Vancouver which is also the site of our newly opened HAVEN SELECT shop. The collection itself consists of Heavy Flannel Overshirts, Embroidered Tees, Beanies, and Tote Bags. The overshirts are produced in Japan and are crafted with some seriously heavy Japanese flannel fabrics. The tees are made in the USA and feature gold and silver embroidery in the spirit of the olympics. Branding is strong but tastefully done with lasered leather labels and double branding throughout.We hope you guys enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Nike Sportswear Spring 2010

The first drop of Nike Sportswear Spring 2010 has arrived and it looks good. At the forefront of footwear technology, Nike pushes the boundaries with the new Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+. This incredibly light shoe weighs in at a puny 175g (0.4lbs) per shoe. The shoe uses Nike's new "Torch" technology which is a lightweight 3-layer textile upper designed to dry and ventilate. The torch technology was the result of Nike Sportswear design team teaming up with the Nike Football (Soccer) to solve the needs of today's athletes. On top of that, the shoe comes equipped with Nike+ technology enabling you to sync up your shoes to your ipod/iphone and receive useful run information.

Along with the Lunar Rejuven8 comes a few very strong looking shoes including the Blazer Mid '09 ND, Tennis Classic AC ND, Toki ND, and the Futura x Nike Dunk High Supreme. All Nike footwear is available at our Edmonton location and through email and phone order.

The delivery consists of three new t-shirt styles with artwork contributions from Mark Borthwick and Dave Little. Medicom x Karimoku Piano Black Be@rbrick 400%

Available now are a few new be@rbricks from Medicom Toy. The highlight of them being this 'Piano Black' 400% Be@rbrick produced in collaboration with Japanese Wood Manufacturer Karimoku. This extremely valuable collectible is semi-hand made and features a black piano urethane coating over a solid wood body. The other be@rbricks we received are the 1000% Loopwheeler and the 400% My First Be@rbrick Baby. Available in Edmonton and online.

HAVEN 3 Year Anniversary and Vancouver Grand Opening

It's hard to believe that it's already been 3 years since we first opened our doors in Edmonton on a cold December day back in 2006. It is now 3 years later and Haven has grown tremendously. None of this could have been possible without the support of all of our loyal customers, both locally and internationally, and we recognize and appreciate you.

With that being said, we'd like to invite you to join us on the night of Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 7:00pm in celebration of our 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY and grand opening of HAVEN VANCOUVER. Our Vancouver location will open it's doors at 11:00am this Saturday with a celebration commencing at 7:00pm. There will be a special promotion during the night as well as complimentary refreshments. We hope to see you all there.

New Headporter Collections

Now available at HAVEN are the newest collections from Headporter. These include the 'Camo' Collection which features a camo print on their existing Olivedrab and Masternavy series. Another new collection this season is 'Oreo' which is a quilted combination of their existing Black Beauty and White Snow lines. Yet another new pattern is 'Lesson' which ties into this season's Headporter Plus 'British Cut' theme. And finally we received 'Croco' which is not a new pattern for Headporter, but new to the shop and a classic and luxurious collection nonetheless.

Nike Quickstrike Weekend (DQM / Patta)

This weekend marks the release of a few key Nike Quickstrikes. First up is the DQM AM90 Current Huarache: Bacon Edition which is based off the legendary AM90 Bacon released by Dave Ortiz of Dave's Quality Meats. Next comes the Patta AM1 Premium QS which was created to celebrate their 5th anniversary. We also have a very clean Air Zoom Toki QS "rustic" as well as the Nike ACG Magma AC. All shoes are available now in very limited quantities.

Just in time for the snowfall we received last night is this Nike ACG Magma AC. Complete with a rugged suede upper, metal boot lace hooks, black sole, and red accents, making this shoe aesthetically pleasing and able to hold up well against the elements. Released as a quickstrike, this shoe comes in limited quantities.

Nike Match Classic Hiroshi Fujiwara

The Nike Match classic was initially released earlier this year as a limited collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara's Fragment Design and Jun Takahashi's Undercover. Now as a quickstrike release the Hiroshi Fujiwara designed Match Classic returns in three solid, easy to wear colors featuring a soft nappy suede upper, slight vintage distressing and vulcanized sole making these a must.
